We are just two regular parents who had something unexpected happen to us: we were surprised to have a child with Down syndrome, and ended up getting a Sensory Processing Diagnosis for our son a year later. Our journey has been wild, but wonderful. We want to share our story, and hear yours too!

Episode 11 - What That Crazy Winter Taught Us as Parents

In this episode, we discuss:

We wrap up Lulu’s difficult first winter, including some feeding issues that landed us back in the ER, and one last bout of pneumonia to cap it all off! However, in looking back on the experience, we see some silver linings that we hadn’t noticed at the time. We discuss how we felt we grew into our role as the parents of a special needs child, and how embracing her medical issues allowed us to do so.
